Art in the Marsh 6.9.24 - All Ages!
Art In the Marsh
Docville Farm to CRCL Restoration Headquarters
Violet, Louisiana
Sunday, June 9th 2024
9:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana invites all ages on a Coastal Adventure in St. Bernard Parish! Join us at Docville Farm to participate in our Coastal 101 presentation and a "trash talk" before taking a trolley ride to CRCL's restoration headquarters. Volunteers will then play an important role in removing accidental restaurant trash from our recycled oyster shell piles. This ensures our success in restoring clean, healthy habitat for upcoming oyster reefs to be built by future volunteers.
There will be coastal art activities including wind chime (or sculpture!) making with treasures found from the oyster piles and an artist-led painting or coloring circle. Following the hands-on coastal art education, participants will return to Docville Farm for pizza and snowballs!
